Summary

'Gabe is alone at the cliff's edge。 His arms are outstretched, palms facing the empty air。'

He said she jumped。 He wouldn't lie。

Before the woman went over the cliff, Pippa and Gabe were happy。 They have the kind of marriage that everyone envies, as well as two sweet young daughters, a supportive family, and a picturesque cliff-side home - which would have been idyllic had the tall beachside cliffs not become so popular among those wishing to end their lives。

Gabe has become somewhat of a local hero since they moved to the cliff house, talking seven people down from stepping off the edge。 But when Gabe fails to save the eighth, Amanda, a sordid web of secrets begins to unravel, pushing bonds of loyalty and love to the brink。

What wouldn't you do for your soulmate?

I love Sally Hepworth, but this novel was just ok。 Some areas of the story just fell a little flat for me。

An exploration of the good and bad sides of marriage coupled with mental illness, a very volatile workplace, and a house on a cliff。 I loved this book so much and quite literally could not put it down。 This is my second Sally Hepworth novel (I loved The Younger Wife on Audible) and I so enjoy her quick chapters and how she tells such multidimensional stories from dual perspectives so seamlessly。This story is told from the perspectives of Pippa, wife of enigmatic Gabe, and Amanda, wife of Gabe’s An exploration of the good and bad sides of marriage coupled with mental illness, a very volatile workplace, and a house on a cliff。 I loved this book so much and quite literally could not put it down。 This is my second Sally Hepworth novel (I loved The Younger Wife on Audible) and I so enjoy her quick chapters and how she tells such multidimensional stories from dual perspectives so seamlessly。This story is told from the perspectives of Pippa, wife of enigmatic Gabe, and Amanda, wife of Gabe’s boss, Max, and the woman who died outside of Pippa and Gabe’s cliff side home。 Was Amanda one of the many people who come to The Drop to end it all or did Gabe have something to do with Amanda’s death? This is the crux of the story and nothing — and no one — are what they seem。Thank you Net Galley and St Martin’s Press for the ARC in exchange for my honest review。 。。。more

God, I love Sally Hepworth。 I love her twisty family thrillers。 And this one was twiiisted。 I feel like I need to sit and think about it and then reread。 It was really good and a bit frustrating at times。 The characters were messy and infuriating and some are lovable。 Thanks to Netgalley and St Martins Press for an eARC。

Another gripping Hepworth novel!!! This one had so many twists and turns。 I'm so glad I had a friend to freak out with, because I truly don't think I could have made it out on my own。 Wow。Knocked a star off because that ending, while exciting was very frustrating for me。 Overall I'd recommend it。 I think this will be wildly popular。 Bravo Sally!
